Do you need some group or individualized training in our library resources?

Let your department’s liaison coordinate that.

We’re working to understand your needs better through our Library Liaison Program. The purpose of the Library Liaison Program is to establish ongoing partnerships and enhance communication with the various departments and units within Kootenai Medical Center, in order to facilitate collection development, instruction services, and reference services.

Your department’s liaison can answer questions about the library, inform staff of library services, programs and resources, and arrange for any database training needs your department might have.

Contact Beth Hill, library manager, at X2483, or at bhill@kmclibrary.org, to connect with your liaison.

Goals of the Library Liaison Program

  • To provide a link between the libraries and Kootenai Medical Center’s departments by establishing an ongoing relationship with key personnel within each department.

  • To share current information on library programs, resources and services.

  • To provide information resources/database training and orientations to departments.

  • To market our existence, and to put a face to the libraries.

  • To improve the quality of library collections, by seeking input and recommendations from users.

  • To increase the use of the physical library facilities and our online resources.

  • To provide reference and research assistance more broadly.

  • To have the ability to evaluate our services and programs, and make any needed modifications, on a continuous basis.
