Wood Medical Library

The Medical Library is open Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Authorized personnel have 24 hour, 7 days a week access.

Policies

The Medical Library at Kootenai Medical Center exists to provide access to current and authoritative knowledge-based information to be used in patient care, for the support of clinical decision making, and to assist in educating patients and their families. Further, the library provides support for performance improvement and patient safety activities and initiatives, and Kootenai Medical Center’s educational and research needs.

The Medical Library is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to authorized personnel. Access to
most of the library’s electronic resources is available to active staff and affiliates from off-site via the library’s
proxy server. Register for access by completing this form.

Books and audiovisual materials in the collection that can be circulated are available for a 28-day renewable
loan period. Non-circulating items include print journals and reference works.

Any non-affiliated healthcare provider may use library services on a fee-for-service basis. Interested parties
should contact the medical library for current information on services and fees by calling 666-2480. North Idaho
Rural Health Consortium (NIRHC) members should contact the library for resources available.
